Anniversary Dinner

We celebrated our anniversary at the Park Hyatt which is at the top of the World Financial Center. The entrance to the hotel is dark and a little creepy....my opinion. These three guys great you at the elevator doors....

Fun Facts: The World Financial Center is the 3rd tallest building in the world, stands 1,614 feet tall and has 101 stories. It claims to have the highest Hotel lobby in the world although I think the building in Dubai might argue with them on that fact. This building will soon move down the list of "tallest" as there are many more buildings currently under construction around the world...including a building that is right across the street from this one.

We had dinner on the 91st floor...the elevator is very fast...no stops.... and it actually made my ears pop as we went up. The view is spectacular and we were lucky....the sky was clear.

The food was fantastic....I would say the best I have eaten in Shanghai. We had sparkling wine from....guess where.....Washington!!! How funny is that? We ate lots of seafood....halibut, prawns, sushi, and crab cakes.
Okay....I confess...Tim ate most of the sushi....not my favorite

Now this is my favorite food....Dessert! It is named the 100 Century cake (after the name of the restaurant) and has layers of chocolaty yummy stuff.

We had more than half the cake left over....sooooo...guess what I am having for breakfast this morning...

And...to make the evening even better....there was another fireworks show last night and it was right outside the window where we were sitting. Amazing fireworks....and the show lasted one entire hour....non-stop. This picture dose not do it justice...but...they were incredible.

Here we are....respectable...and mature....

Okay...maybe not respectable....

or mature.....So hey....
We have been married for 30 years
we are "old" according to our kids
and we are empty nesters
Maturity is over rated!!!
