Fulda, Germany

Today we drove about 3 hours to Fulda. One of my good friends, Paula Vielhaber, is from this town and she recommended a hotel, a café, and gave us tips for shopping and sightseeing. How easy can it be? I met Paula in Shanghai when we were living there. She is still in Shanghai so she gave a virtual tour of her hometown.
Fulda has beautiful architecture. We visited a quilt shop (go figure!) and to a beautiful jewelry store; both of the owners are friends of Paula’s.

In the quilt store (Quilts am Luckenberg), with one of the owners, Gabi.  The other owner is an American lady named Patricia Kuhn.

I love this sign. It is a 3D shopping bag!
Dessert tonight.....called Vanilleparfait (vanilla parfait) mit Pflaumen Kompott (plum compote).  Mmmmm, I think I found a new way to use up the plums from our tree.
