On Day 5 we had a real treat for breakfast. Our host at the restaurant made crepes with fresh honey! We were all in heaven. That was our first meal that did not have something to do with rice or noodles.
After breakfast we drove about 45 minutes to Tang An Village. This was the start of our hike. We would walk through the rice terraces and back to Zhaoxing village. The weather was not great but we were lucky and only had a few drops of rain. This is Tim, Natalie and Shelly entering Tang An Village.
Grave Stones on the hill side.
These are filled with offerings
Natalie made friends with lots of the villagers.
These are instruments that the men play. We saw these in many different villages.
Indigo plants
Arriving back at Zhaoxing VillageThis village had another way of worship. The offer sacrifices to the God Yan'Gong. The offerings are placed in these boxes that are attached to a long pole.
It seems that each village or clan worship different things and in different ways even though they are all from the Dong minority group.
